ASKing is a part of the Christian life. Jesus taught us to
ASK for a lot of things: salvation, answers, wisdom, our daily needs, to
protect us from temptation, His kingdom to come, and effective opportunities to
share the gospel. He wants us to ASK because it connects us to Him as our
Source for all that we need. ASKing should be rooted in a desire for His
purpose to come to pass and with a faith that He answers prayer.
Verse: Matthew 7:8-11
For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and
to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. “Which of you, if your son asks
for bread, will give him a stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a
snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your
children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who
ask him!
ASK God to give you
direction in developing your “Love List” –
a specific list of
three people God has placed in your life who need Jesus.
• Who are the three people on your list?
• ASK God to give you opportunities to share your testimony
with them.
• ASK God to create an opportunity to invite them to FBC,
i.e. the 4 Weeks Later musical on May 18.
